Today's update

I am trying to get together some more coupon matchups. I have had a lot of help from the blogs I follow myself which I have mentioned under the coupon matchups. I have also added pages for the printable coupons. You guys should check it out daily. Sometimes new coupons are added and some don't last long because they are a HOT coupon usually a High Value Coupon. I am going to do my best to get everything together so it's easier to navigate on here as quickly as I can! Thanks for being patient while I work on this!

My Weis Trip today

I stopped by Weis today to get a few items. Here's what I got:

2 loaves of Weis Quality Round Top Loaves  $1 each
1 12 count Weis Quality Hotdog Rolls $1.79
2 gallons of Milk  $3.74 each
2 bags of Weis 5 Star Pretzel Nuggets $2 each
4 bags of Herr's Baked Chips $2.99 each
1 can on Hunt's Meat Sauce $1
1 WQ Parm/Ramono Cheese $2.99
2 cans of Hormel Chili $1 each
2 Dreamfield Angel Hair Spaghetti $1.89 each
2 Dreamfield Elbows $1.89 each
4 A&H Dryer Sheets $1 each
3 bottles of WQ Rootbeer $1.39 each
2 boxes of Orv. Redenbacher's Popcorn $2.50 each
3 jars of Wolfegang Puck Spaghetti Sauce $2 each

I used the following coupons. Everything was already on sale except for the milk, parm/ram cheese, Hunts spaghetti sauce and the rootbeer.
2-$1/2 Dreamfield Pasta bringing that down to just $1.39 a box (cheaper than the store brand that was on sale)
2- $1/2 A&H Dryer sheets Making them $0.50 a box! (printable coupon)
1-$0.55/2 Hormel Chili Making them $0.50 a can after the store doubled it to a $1
3-$0.75/1 Wolfegang Puck Spaghetti Sauce making it $1 a jar after store doubled it to a $1
4 $1/1 Herr's Baked Chips Making them just $1.99 a bag

Total Coupons were $10.80 and a total of $24.44 or 32% savings with the coupons and sales.
Total OOP is $50.36

Welcome to Surprisingly Savvy Savings

I hope you all will bare with me on my new idea of starting a blog. I am going to try and help you guys save some money while shopping and also make some real cash online that is legit! We all can use some extra cash in our pockets. Blogging is a whole new experience for me and I hope you will share it with me and help me grow it along the way.
I am a mother of 3 children, I have 2 boys ages 13 and 10 and a daughter who is 5. The most challenging part and rewarding part of being a parent is making sure I teach my children how to prepare for their futures as the get older and how to save money doing it. My husband and I have been married for 14 years and it has taken me a while to realize that we need to start saving money better. We are currently trying to save enough money to move closer to my husband's family in Tn eventually to help our son who has P.D.D (a form of Autism) be closer to them, he really misses them very much!! This is my journey beginning and hopefully it won't take to long to do it. I have been reading all different blogs and following them and I have gotten some great tips!
